Benjamin Edward Nichols
arrived at 12:30 on April 24, 2009
7 lbs, 7 oz, 19.5 inches
Ben's birth story is quite a bit shorter than Tabby's (thank goodness). We were scheduled to have the C at 9 AM and were pushed back a bit and went in around 12. The docs and nurses and techs did their magic and he arrived shortly afterward in great shape. No visit to the level 2 nursery or any of that jazz, just whisked away momentarily for cleanup and weighing. I got to be with him in recovery and he started nursing straight away like a champ. So far he is incredbily easy going, happy and quiet. He's a keeper!!

The first thing Tabby said when she saw him was “baby doll!!” I'm pretty sure she thought he was a doll for her to play with. But she soon got that this was the infamous “Baby Ben” we've been discussing for months and lots of “he's cute!!” followed. She is definitely in love and wants to snuggle and cuddle him all the time. She is doing great hanging out with Grammy and Papa.
