The Happenings

• Loki is having tummy troubles and keeps puking all over our carpet. What's really gross? How much better the cleaned carpet looks than the surrounding carpet. Guess I better get ready to kiss another $700 goodbye for some more carpet cleaning.
• Tabby is big into snuggles right now which just melts your heart. Mommy snuggle? Don't even have to think about that.
• The snow of yesterday is largely gone (commute this AM was a non-event) and we've got lovely sunshine. Unfortunately, my office is meat-locker COLD.
• Top Chef has been kinda meh this season … Jamie is a whiner and that Stefan guy is arrogant as hell. But I do love the other half of Team Europe. And I don't mean that new Toby jerk. Also glad Melissa is gone. Her hair really bugged me. But I hear she is opening a noodle restaurant in Boulder. Hmmm.
The purple menace has invaded our house and its effect on our toddler is similar to that of the body snatchers. Creepy. But not quite as creepy as The Wiggles. Sorry.
• Had lunch on Friday at The Corner Office … everything I hoped it might be right down to the Lobster Mac 'n' Cheese.
• Goals for the week are to cook from the pantry (shepherd's pie – using up potatoes and other veggies; tamale pie – using up salsa, beans, frozen corn, cheese; quesadillas – using up tortillas, cheese; breakfast for dinner – using up eggs, cheese, bacon & english muffins) and to put away the Christmas decorations, and get my butt on the treadmill at least once
• I'm excited to start playing Bunco Thursday night with some of the ladies from my mom's group … should be good fun.

  1. I'm with you on Top Chef. I haven't seen the latest episode, though. Is Melissa the one with the thick bangs? I guess the Italian guy is my favorite, but maybe it's just his accent! LOL. I can't say there is anyone I am seriously pulling for this time.

  2. – I hope Loki feels better soon!

    – Aww for snuggles. Too cute!

    – Sending you {{{ warm }}} vibes.

    – I liked Eugene so now I guess I'm rooting for Hosea. I thought Melissa looked liked a Nickelodeon cartoon character. I can't remember the name, though. A noodle place, huh? I remember on the first episode she said she knew nothing about Italian food. Let's hope she's making Mexican noodles if there's such a thing.

  3. The Top Chef bangs drove me crazy!! Somebody needs to take that woman to a salon that charges more than $5 a hair cut. I felt extreme relief when she was finally voted off!
