Weekend Update

So Saturday morning, I got up bright and early because I find it practically impossible to sleep in these days and I took Sherbet for a ride. She and I had a lovely time. I hardly remember what I did for most of the rest of that day … cuz, get this, I had nothing specific TO DO. I think there was a nap in there somewhere.

That evening, we went to McCormick and Schmick's to celebrate my dad's and my own birthday. We had a very nice dinner and then returned to my parents' house for cake and gifts. My mom had made a chocolate mayonaise cake that was very yummy and gifts, of course, were very fun. We had gotten my dad a selection of items from Think Geek, including an abusive stamp, a flickr fed digital photo album, and a wi-fi signal finder. Mom and Kelly also found him a book to read to Miss Tabby.

I was bountifully spoiled (as usual) by my family, including some new shoes, a serious upgrade to my baby backpack carrier, some DVDs, and a very classy nightlight.

Sunday dawned and as Miss Tabby and I were getting ready for the day, Holly called. She'd seen a double jogger at a garage sale on her way into work for a very nice price. We don't need a double day in and day out yet, but when I have Liam in my charge, I have been wearing Tabby in a backpack and pushing Liam in a stroller and it's kind of cumbersome. And since we do plan to have another kid at some point, we've been looking out for a good deal on one and Holly really came through for us.

So we drove on into Boulder and checked out the stroller and made our purchase. Then we went on to Eldorado Canyon, for our hike. Sadly, we only got a few photos and none of them that interesting. And the rest of the day floated away in errands and dinner prep and all that Sunday stuff.
