I have some sort of nasty GI bug … food poisoning, methinks and I'm none too sharp at the moment. So you get the stuff that's rattling around in my brain.
I went crazy yesterday and bought Tabby this absolutely darling luggage. Cuz that's what every 5 month old needs, don'tcha know. I won't tell you how much it was, exactly, but I will tell you it was under $100 and on sale. Now I feel a bit better. It will not get here in time for the trip we're leaving on tomorrow.
Matt bought me a new laptop for my b'day which is arriving today. Hooray for that. I have found that I cannot use my stationary computer with any sort of success since Tabby was born. So now I will have a laptop that will go all over the house to wherever she needs to be. Anyhoo, since it shipped on Mon, I've been stalking it via FedEx's website. It started out in Shanghai, China (yet I still have to pay tax on it!!), then went to Anchorage, Alaska, then to Indianapolis, IN and now it's finally in Denver. It's a little sad that my consumer goods are more well traveled than I am.
Speaking of computer productivity, I actually managed to get Tabby's scrapbook started. This hurculean feat was possible only because I have decided to do this scrapbook digitally. I've always liked this idea, but have sometimes found it hard to get the pages printed as I would like them. But I googled “digital scrapbook printing” or something like that the other day and found Picaboo. Which is exactly that – a digital scrapbook service. They have laods of templates, etc. that you can use to make your own scrapbooks or you can do them up in Photoshop and import them as full pages for maxiumum control freak. I've already gotten a couple of pages done … and I didn't have to take out all of that scrapbooking stuff and make a big ol' mess. Holly-friend is having a henna party on the 24th. I need to figure out something to bring. What I really want to bring are henna cookies … some sort of sugar cookie with Indianish spices and henna-styled frosting decorations. But I have to find/adapt a recipe with little luck so far. Plus, this project is probably way too ambitious.
Speaking of complicated. How about you make your own moleskin notebook?
We've been thinking loads about moving recently. We don't really want to, but eventually, it will be a must. Our house is lovely and wonderful and we just love living there, but we are running out of space and there is no back yard. In fantasy world, there's nothing I'd like to do more than buy land and build our own, but hello … $$$$. Anyhoo, a girl can dream can't she? and now I can do it on FloorPlanner from wherever I am.
I think that's it for now. I wanna go crawl back into bed. Blah.

Oh gosh! I wonder what made you sick? Can you think of anything that you ate that might have been bad? I hope that it isn't a tummy bug.
Feel better soon! That suitcase set is adorable ~ is that the Eiffel Tower?
Hope you are feeling better.
That luggage set is darling!!
Oooh a Henna party sounds fun. How about some type of Indian appetizer? Like Samosas? Just peas, potatoes cooked with Indian spices and baked.
Digital Scrapbooking seems fun!
Hope you have a great time on your trip!
I hope you feel better!
I love the luggage! Sure, Tabby doesn't really need it yet but she'll be the coolest kid in Denver in a couple years!
Good luck with the digital scrapbooking.
Moving sucks. Trust me. I know.
The henna party sounds great! Go onto my blog and look for the link for mahandi. She's an Indian food blogger and you may find what you're looking for.
Sorry to hear you're not feeling well… hope you feel better soon!
Wanted to say thanks for the picaboo and floorplanner links. Both things I never knew I absolutely had to have!!
I hope you're feeling better, Jess.
ARGH! Now I'm going to be wasting time using peekabo.
That. Luggage. Is. Adorable!
OMG LOVE that luggage!
I love the luggage…if you don't mind me asking, where did you get it?
