So So Busy!

I have loved all of this travel, but it has left me absolutely exhausted and overwhelmed and … behind. There are just not enough hours in the day to accomplish what I need to accomplish, let alone what I want to accomplish. As usual, the time is getting deducted directly from the sleep column. The good news is that Miss Tabitha has decided to go to sleep earlier and get up just once to have a bite to eat (frequently with her father). So I am getting my 6 hours of sleep pretty much uninterrupted, which is nice!

I am hopeful that with our nice long 3-day weekend we'll be able to get a bit ahead on the to-do list and our yard won't look like a jungle anymore. Marisa tagged me a while back and I'm just now getting around to it …

2. Sweet Basil (Vail, CO) has completely unpretentious gourmet american food. The menu is always inventive and everything is very very yummy.

The Huckleberry (Lousville, CO) is American food at its best! They have the best artichoke dip I've ever tasted, excellent mac 'n' cheese, burgers, shakes, etc. and a really unique breakfast menu with great crepes. They also serve afternoon tea and have an on-site bakery with great cakes. You can't smush this restaurant into a category.

Yak and Yeti (Arvada, CO) is a new favorite restaurant close to home that serves an excellent Indian buffet.

Namiko (Arvada, CO) is my current favorite place for sushi. I like a few different places in the Denver area, but Namiko is convenient to home, easyish to get into (while still very busy) and has excellent sushi, tempura, and donburi bowls. I missed this place so much while I was pregnant!!

East Cafe (Aurora, CO) has some really excellent Chinese food. Whenver I'm out in this area, I make sure to go (there's a Krispy Kreme nearby too, if you don't stuff yourself at dinner). My favorites are the shrimp fried rice, sesame chicken, and beef with broccoli.

I could mention many many more, but these are some of the outstanding ones.

3. I will tag … Ani (The Foodie Chickie), Lisanne, and Yvett.

  1. Know what you mean…I often wish I could clone myself now. I can only imagine how I'll feel when I add chasing a kiddo to the mix.

  2. I love artichoke dip! Sounds yummy! Be sure to leave a comment for or email Nicole, the one who started this whole thing up. She'll add you to the list!
