Happy Fall!

With the first official days of fall under our belts, we spent most of the day Sunday on a Fall Foliage trip. We went back to Georgetown, where Matt and I (and Loki) had first taken our shiny new camera for its inaugural trip. This time we were accompanied by most excellent friend, Holly and her darling offspring, Liam. We had lunch and got sodas at the soda fountain and then drove up aways to see the color. Photos are plentiful and here. The color and the day we selected to see it on was gorgeous and the company superb. Well it was another weekend that was jam-packed … despite the fact that as of Friday at close of work, I had nothing specific planned. I got off work and went home to have lunch and a quick nap. Then Loki and I went to the vet where he was pronounced in perfect health … though he took a bizarre (and decided) dislike to his friendly vet tech. Then I roamed around Target to kill time until I left for the airport to get Matt.

By the time we got back from the airport, it was way late and we had Taco Bell for dinner and rushed to bed because it was FREEZING in our house. We're at that really annoying period where you have to switch between A/C and heat every 12 hours and the house is freezing or boiling if you forget.

After a lie-in, we got up Sat morning and headed to the dealership to get some stuff done to Matt's car. Holly friend picked us up and we all went to breakfast and ran an errand to get fab tamales. We then returned (with Matt's car) to Mike & Holly's house … and spent the rest of the day there, running errands and lying around by the fire. Some whiskey might've been consumed. But not by me!
