Foodie Weekend

Well, I must say it was a good weekend. Friday, I did a lot of the stuff on my list and a couple of other things got checked off throughout the rest of the weekend. I updated the list from the last post.

It also ended up being quite the food weekend. On Friday, our friends Mike and Holly came over and Mike helped Matt put together our new treadmill. Then we went to dinner at the little Italian restaurant in our neighborhood (about a 3 min wal from our house). The food was amazing! I had penne with some sort of great sauce and shrimp. Saturday, we went over to Mike and Holly's house to hang out. I helped Holly write thank-you notes and Matt worked in the bedroom remodel on electrical stuff. My mom called and invited Holly and I to go to lunch with her and Kelly and so we did and managed a quick stop at Michaels. We hung around the house that night and watched TV, etc. I think. Hehe.

Sunday, we did some work around the house in the morning and then we went out to run errands in the afternoon. We tried a restaurant that my boss had recommended that has good fried chicken. Matt really enjoyed that.

Monday both Matt and I took off and we spent the morning sleeping in and running a couple of errands. We were in a section of town called Olde Towne Arvada. It's cute/quaint/old. We saw a little Thai place that looked neat, so we decided to give it a shot. Lucky find! It was excellent. Everything we had was amazing. Then we walked around Olde Towne and checked things out. Matt found a great little wine store with some of his favorite hard-to-find brands.
