Jess's Holiday Gift Giving Guide Part 2

I wanted to do guides for guys and girls, but I didn't want to be too stereotypical. Then it hit me.

Stereotypical Girl Gifties

Maybe not as cute, but certainly more affordable, the Dell Ditty comes in at $100. It holds quite a bit of music in a small fairly cheap package and you can customize it with different colored caps (for the USB port).

I probably cannot stress this enough: bags. They always fit. They come in every color, shape, size imaginable and they're so damned practical. The one I've shown here is a laptop bag from Target that I thought was neat. Other bag sources that I dig include: ebags, Title 9 (for gym bags), and great indie designers Poise and cut+paste just to name a few.

When I saw this tin of Madrid Perfumery lip balms on Uncommon Goods, I knew it was perfect for this list. For $36 (man that seems steep, but whatever), you get five flavors of their amazing lip balm. My sis got me the peach one for my b'day and it's heavenly.

Jewelry!! Duh! Girls love jewelry. I'm not even much of a girlygirl and I almost always have a necklace and a pair of earrings on. The piece shown comes from Superhero Designs. I also like the unique simplicity of the pieces at Red Envelope, the funky flair at Uncommon Goods, and Funky Junkie for their great beads.

Philosophy makes lovely shampoo conditiner & body wash in one products. They smell amazing and the bottle is big enough that it lasts a looong time. $16 from Amazon or Philosophy. This comes in tons of yummy flavors including strawberry milkshake, cinnamon bun, chocolate, margarita

What girly wouldn't love a box set of the quintessential Girl Power series: Sex and the City. $190 on Amazon. Other good girly DVD choices might include: Gilmore Girls, Desparate Housewives or Veronica Mars.

If I had to pick a computer game that girls have almost universally loved, it would be the Sims series. Sims 2 takes the original sims up a notch and with the expansion packs, things are crazier and more in-depth than ever. This is available on many platforms, but I highly recommend PC since you can download excellent user-made content to make the game better than ever.

For all of those overworked women in your life, the gift of calm might me much appreciated. Giam offers a wide variety of yoga products perfect for slowing down and taking a deeep breath. Ohm.
