Busy Weekend

We had a very nice weekend. We did quite a bit of shopping on Sunday. We raided the summer sale racks at the normal places and got a few new items for the closet for not much $$. And we got another piece of my b'day present, a new car stereo that has an auxillary port so I can plug in my MP3 player. It even glows amber (though it has a green option, too), just like all of the lights in my little Honda's dashboard. It's so very cool. We also ran some much more mundane errands, worked out, and spent most of the evening at home watching DVDs. Today, Matt slept in while I got a few things accomplished. Then we took a looong drive to test out the new stereo and take some photos of the area before we leave. We drove around on the winding country roads and I photographed some cows and barns and horses and corn and stuff. And we also drove by the Middleton Airport (haha) and while that wasn't very interesting from a photographic point of view, the building that was its predecessor was very neat. So I took some pictures of that too.

After we came home, we both retreated to our own little worlds and I explored some of the world of digital scrapbooking. It's an interesting approach, I must say. Very economical for sure, since the pages only cost you printing supplies, but there's something to be said for working with paper and scissors and glue and whatnot. But I did make a couple of pages, and I will probably make some more. It is terribly convenient for every-day things, especially when you don't want to drag out tons of supplies …
