Stuff to Share

Remember last winter when we went crazy went up to Vail and made a ton of cookies?? Well we made these amazing sugar cookies and I've been meaning to post the recipe since the because they were not only very yummy, but they also did not change shape AT ALL when you baked them. A very important thing when baking a billion cookies that sometimes try to run into each other as they bake. Anyhoo, finally got the recipe from my mom (it was in her magazine) and I've got it to share with you. Cuz that's what you really want right now, right? Christmas cookies.

Tabalicious has made great strides in hand-eye coordination. Her new favorite activity is banging on whatever is in front of her. Honestly, I don't know how she doesn't hurt herself. This banging is a problem when it's mommy's computer and she might hurt it. So I installed a nifty program called Toddler Keys that runs in the background and locks up your discdrives. Then when in active mode, it becomes a toddler's paradise, displaying user added images and sounds whenever a key is pressed. Tabby luvs the darned thing. Cuz just websurfing alone doesn't waste enough of your time, visit world of solitaire, where you can play 12 different time-wasting solitaire games 24/7. Yay!! What did we do with all of our free time before the web??

Want a free Chick-fil-A sandwich and a free coke? Go register yourself. Yum.

Like most parents, I'm all about taking the easy way out. To that end, I'm super psyched about Super Why! the PBS Kids show that teaches kids to read … and the Baby Einstein video that teaches them to sign. Hey … less work for me. When it's time for sex ed, I'm subscribing to Cinemax.

Also, like most Americans, I struggle with the after math of my western-style consumerism. That's why I love Unclutterer. Now I can find the stuff that was under all that other stuff.

Another parent/baby site I love is TechMamas. My favorite tip from there: Cheerio Necklaces for long car rides/plane trips. Keeps 'em fed and entertained. Here's also a post about involving your kids in the kitchen. As much as I love to cook, I love these ideas.

Also, if you've ever wanted your own Lance Armstrong-styled Live Strong band with an inscription, check out ReminderBands.com where you can get a bands in a multitude of colors with starting at $4.50/each. Kickass.

Also, for Matt, cuz we were talking about this earlier: PDFs of weight training sheets.

Perhaps I've shared too much.

  1. Actually, this recipe couldn't have come at a better time. Lila was pulling everything out of my kitchen drawers and found bag of cookie cutters…and then I though how I need a cookie recipe so I can actually use those cutters this year. Now I have one! Thanks

  2. I like all your posts but the informative ones are great. Will you consider making a page of all these great links in their categories?

  3. Tabalicious! LOL!

Hey, I have to say that Ani has a GREAT idea! I'm often in here trying to look for some great link you posted. Oh, Jess, you are the QUEEN of awesome linky goodness!

  4. Yum! Good timing, I've been wanting sugar cookies so badly! Maybe I will make some… and then Greg will think I'm crazy… but I will tell him that it is just my 'nesting' instinct.
Love the links, as always Especially TechMamas. I'm such a sucker for a good gadget here and there.
