Productive Weekend!

Yes yes, another weekend shot. How do they go by so darned fast. Here it continued to be very cold, but that probably helped us out since we had loads to do at home.

Friday was loads of errands to prepare for the weekend and a trip out to the industrial suburb of Denver (Commerce City) to pick up the dresser that Matt's dad and stepmom bought for the nursery. That is an interesting story in and of itself, but perhaps a different time. We had to wait until the next morning to see it in the room since I am presently useless at lifting heavy things. It is absolutely perfect in there and we're really excited to see the nursery shaping up so well!!I spent all day Saturday in my office working on a pocket board for the nursery. I was inspired by the creations of Sally Shim to make a decorative organizer to go in the nursery and while I don't flatter myself that I achieved quite what she does, I was reasonably pleased with the results.

Matt spent the majority of his weekend down in the shop working on the end table that will go in the nursery. He's still got three pieces (two smallish, one big!) on his list to build after this is finished. He's doing a wonderful job and I'm so excited to see his excellent progress.

Loki split his time between sitting by my chair and on his “box” in Matt's shop. He doesn't like the router very much, though.

Saturday evening we were only too glad to put down our projects and share a meal (meatloaf, potatoes, jello salad and mystery pie) with my mom, dad, grandma and sister … which my mom brought over. An excellent treat after such a busy day.

Hope all of your weekends were wonderful! More photos as usual are here.
