Brain Fluff

So I had this post all written out about how damned busy I am, but then I realized, I barely care about that. None of y'all will. So here's other miscellany that's floating around in my brain.

Remember that bag I wanted? I was too cheap to pay $50 + S&H for it, so I searched and searched (OK, I googled it once) and found it on closeout at REI for $30. If you do in-store pick up, no S&H. Woot. They have other bags and such on closeout too. Yay.

In case you want to know the fat and calorie content of Auntie Ida's super duper bacon and fried chicken casserole with cheesy topping, you can put in the recipe on Recipe Cal and they'll tell you how many hours you need to spend at the gym to work it off (i.e. all the nutritional info). Of course, some things are probably better to not know.

I do not have enough time on my hands. But some people must … otherwise, how could you make these. Absolutely incredible. I've got a ton of junk to get rid of before we move. Some of it will go away via Craigslist. Lifehacker (luv them) has been good enough to post a guide to selling on Craigslist on their site, including how to best post your item and how to handle the sale.

I still need to tweak my Tivo and crappy Comcast DVR to record all my TV shows for fall (confession: I have not yet seen The Office, sad, I know) and all that, but here are the ones I'm looking forward to or am going to try out:
* Ugly Betty
* The Office
* My Name is Earl
* Scrubs – in it's last season, boo!
* Gossip Girl – cuz I'm five and I like that sort of crud
* Bones
* Reaper – have heard great things about this
* Heroes – except I need to get caught up on this and I don't know when I'll do that
* Chuck – I like the idea of this, but I really wasn't impressed with the pilot, so we'll see
* Kid Nation – I am interested in this from a sociological point of view, but there are like 3 eps lingering on the crappy Comcast DVR already
* Project Runway!! Yay.

I made Just Jenn's Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Muffins last night. They are crazy good. And RecipeCal says only 207 cals per muffin. Not so bad.

I've got to buy a new phone before too long. I have the worlds crappiest phone, but I don't get a full $150 credit from Sprint until Nov, so I have to wait until then. I think it will be a PDA phone. Do any of you have ones you like/hate? Tell me about it.

Wanna watch high quality TV on your computer for free? Check out Joost, cuz I haven't had the time to. Sounds promising though.

Amazon is selling DRM-free MP3s for less than $1 apiece. How refreshing.

I think that's all that's up there right now besides a to-do list that's longer than I am tall.
