Matt has already blogged about our trip to Milwaukee, but I thought I'd share my 2 cents . For me, the highlight of the trip (I'd already seen the pretty pretty architechture) was American Science and Surplus. It's a really cool store, full of weird things. You can buy a frog to disect, camoflouge tape, chemistry glassware, speakers ripped out of god-knows-what, and on and on and on. I went a little buy-happy (since I never get to it, being that it's over an hour away). I bought:
+ a pen that doubles as a duster (for my computer)
+ a table-top trashcan that looks like dude with his mouth open
+ tiny little round containers (good for pills or lip balm)
+ some kiddie-style blocks (good for god-knows-what, but i'll figure out something)
+ a neat woden box with latches and a handle
+ some eyedroppers
+ a bunch of duct tape in different colors (for my duct tape crafting endeavors)
+ a new (very cheap) engineering ruler
+ some wax that i have no clue what i'll do with (it was cheap and a very good brand)
It was a very successfull shopping trip indeed … well for me.
