As part of my 101, I made the commitment to read 11 books I've never read before. It seems kinda silly, but this is a pretty big thing for me since when I fall in love with a book, I read it over and over … in fact, I have a select set of books that I read at least once a year (helps that I read pretty fast). I'm sort of chicken when it comes to trying new books. But I did it!! And I did more than 11. * The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (all 3 books) warm and touching and really well written. Damned funny too.
* Olivia Joules and the Overactive Imagination hilarity of the 9th degree: you're dead if you don't laugh
* Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Duh. It's Harry Potter. It was great … better than Order of the Phoenix.
* Heart on My Sleeve pretty lousy read, actually. soooo glad i got it from the library
* The Ivy Chronicles awesome! great original plot, very funny
# Gossip Girl Books light, fluffy reads, lots of fun.
* Ready or Not A very funny, thought-provoking sequal to All American Girl
* The Au-Pairs light-hearted fluff, perfect for the beach
* The Earth, My Butt and other Big Round Things one of the funniest books ever … you can't help but love this one
* Vegan Virgin Valentine a funny, realistic, enjoyable read
# Metro Girl fabulous mystery by the author of the Stephanie Plum series, really should write a blurb …
* Pledged a non-fiction look into soroities, well-balanced, fair, well-written
# Love and Other Four Letter Words a perfectly fine read, but not remarkable
# What My Mother Doesn't Know stupid book, didn't like it
# Someone Like You a really great book about coping with death and an unexpected pregnancy
# Summer Boys light, fluffy, stupid and not enjoyable
# Detour for Emmy interesting book about a girl who gets pregnant in high school
Books with * beside them are on my media page. Those with # beside them are not … usually because they sucked and I couldn't be bothered to write a blurb about them or just because I'm lazy and haven't gotten around to it yet.
Great blog, by the way! I also read Olivia Joules and loved it! And each Harry Potter is better than the rest, thats a given! Right now, I'm reading The Red Tent! Its awesome!
