We had a great weekend planned. We were supposed to spend Friday celebrating Ben’s birthday at Chuck E Cheese (his choice). We were supposed to have recital practice and a hike and a birthday party and wiring at the new house on Saturday. We were supposed to get together with family on Sunday and grocery shop and all that. But some little germs made different plans for us.
Everyone got sick. Tabby followed by Matt, followed by Ben, followed by me. Somewhere in there, even the dog threw up. Et tu Loki??!? Our washer ran non-stop. The hot water heater went out (briefly, thank goodness!!!). I probably slept at least 24 of the past 48 hours. Ben has still not had his proper birthday celebration and I’m not sure when he will (despite the lovely cake sitting in our fridge).
On the plus side, I got snuggles from my kiddos, watched ridiculous amounts of TV (Harry Potter movies 4 and 5 and part of 6, which I hadn’t seen) and listened to a bunch of audio books, and we all have clean sheets.
Sorry you’ve all been sick! It’s totally been going around. J and I haven’t succumbed (yet), because we’re both home both of the time right now. Good thing the cake will last 🙂 It’s better when you all can appreciate it.
Aww man stomach bugs are theeeeeee worst. I hope you are all better now. And my son too wants to go to Chuck E Cheese. He’s been asking for two birthdays now.
