This weekend we made our yearly trip to the Denver Zoo’s Light display. We have had days and days of unseasonably warm weather and yet the night we went? FREEZING. Oh well, we’ve done colder.
Of course we go for the kids. They have an amazing time.
And it is almost always where we see Santa. Ben was a bit timid this year, but Tabby hopped right up.
I also love to play around with the camera. You’d think it might be about the same from year to year, but I’ve still had a lot of other things to play around with. For instance this year they had a Mariachi band and dancers and they put these gorgeous start lanterns up. Loved them!
They also did some pretty lantern displays in the new Asian area. The kids were pretty cold by this point and we were going on too fast for me to stop and take my time with the camera, but it was still pretty.
I also loved these pretty LED lights in these bushes. They produced a really neat effect.
Best of all, it SNOWED while we were there. It barely accumulated. 1/4″? 1/2″??
Doesn’t matter. It’s our biggest snowfall so far this year and it was beautiful. Now if we can just get a bit more, I would love it. Seriously, it’s about all I want for Christmas!!
It looks lovely. I wish the Bronx Zoo still did that. We trek to NJ for our light seeing extraveganza. 6
You have snow! I wish we had snow.
J and I always talk about going to see the Christmas lights at the Toledo zoo when we go to visit his family, but we never have.
That looks so pretty.
Hey there would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re working with? I’m looking to start my own blog soon but I’m having a hard time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S Sorry for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
Nothing fancy – just a wordpress blog. Theme is built on Thematic.
