So it's been the usual brand of chaos around here, except a bit more so because 1. The kids have been a bit sick, 2. We're training for that half marathon thingy, 3. We're getting ready to leave for a trip and 4. I have a new freelance project.
Saturday was a good day. We ran 10 miles. Seriously. I was as surprised as could be when Sporty Pal gave me the verdict. But it was doable … and not even too bad, although I could have eaten a side of beef when we were done. And I am not much for the meat-eating. It was a loooong trek with some nasty hills and while I did take short walking breathers, I ran 95% of it or more. It felt pretty damn good.
Saturday night we got together with a bunch of people: our best friends and their boys, my mom, sister and grandma. Three generations of noisy, messy chaos that was extra enjoyable. I even drank wine!
This week I've been churning out mock-ups, doing endless laundry and phoning in the cleaning/cooking thing. I got to try an excellent restaurant for the first time, Tomayo. Better believe I'll be going back there with Matt next date night.
We're heading out tomorrow. Posts will be spotty over the next week or so. And you nefarious sorts stay away … I've got my gun-toting neighbor and his pitt bulls watching the place, fo real.
Hope the little ones feel better soon and you have a great trip. You deserve it.
Glad you got to have some fun with family and new eats though with all the business.
Hope you have a great time! Sounds like you deserve it.
I received 1 st business loans when I was 32 and this helped my family very much. Nevertheless, I require the commercial loan once again.
I'm excited and anxious for you to run tomorrow! In an 'I know you guys'll do great' kind of way. It is something that I would NEVER be able to do, and really admire you for it!!
Congrats on the nice long run! Thanks for the tips on running. I'm contemplating staring the coach to 5k. It actually seems do-able, even for me!
And happy early birthday to your little man! 1 already!!!
