This was a mad crazy weekend. I should actually stop commenting on this, since they've all been super busy lately and it would be more notable to have a calm weekend where we just stayed at home and shelled pecans or something. I will try not to bore you with the details, but I did want to share this with you … Tipsy Kentucky Bourbon Pecan Cake with Peach Sauce. This is the cake I made for mom's big day and it was really fun (if a bit labor intensive) and quite a hit. P.S. If you slice the thing into 8 slices, it has about the equivalent of one beer per slice assuming none of the alcohol burnt off. We did around 16 slices (well we only had 8 people, but that's where it was headed), so not quite as bad, but it does have quite a bit in it … probably not for the real little kids. Tabby just had the peach sauce (she didn't mind ONE BIT).
