I know loads of people who think it's too early to break out the Christmas music, but I'm not one of them. I start the day after Thanksgiving so I can hear all my favorites lots of times.
On my Christmas Playlist:
* Elf's Lament as sung by BNL
* I Saw Three Ships as sung by Sting
* Holly Jolly Christmas as sung by Alan Jackson
* Sleigh Ride as sung by Harry Conick Jr
* Santa Baby as sung by Ertha Kitt
* Carol of the Bells from Home Alone
* Children Go Where I Send Thee as sung by Natalie Merchant
* Christmas Song as sung by Dave Matthews
* melikalikimaka as sung by Bing Crosby
* God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen as sung by Garth Brooks
* All I Want for Christmas as sung by ANYONE BUT Mariah Carey (cuz that girl has not learned that making 2 syllable words into 50 syllable words is soooo over)
* ANYTHING on A Christmas Together (John Denver and the Muppets Christmas Album)
* Little Saint Nick as sung by The Beach Boys
And I'm sure many more that I'm not thinking of at the moment. What do you guys have on your Christmas playlists??
My favorite carol is O Holy Night, so I like to get that one from various artists. Right now I have it from Clay Aiken (don't laugh). Also . .
Ave Maria by Wynonna Judd
Ave Maria by Chris Cornell
Christmastime is here by Vince Guirald (Peanuts)
Rudolph . . by The Wiggles
Santa Claus is Coming to Town by The Brady Bunch
You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch by Boris Karloff
some others by Hannah Montana and Aly& AJ.
As you can tell, my kids picked several of the songs.
Me too! Love it! I like them all but my faves are
Oh Come Let us Adore Him
Silent Night
Ave Maria
White Christmas
Silver Bells
Haha. See I love the Mariah Carey version. It's a guilty pleasure. Some of my favorites are:
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen (the BNL Sarah Maclaclan version)
White Christmas – The Drifters
Silent Night – Jewel
Baby Please Come Home – U2
I yust go nuts at Christsmas – Yogi Yorgesson
Swiss Colony Beef Log – Eric Cartman
I have a whole bunch on my ipod. I'm the same way though. Christmas music gets turned on after Thanksgiving.
I love the entire Time Life Christmas CD but it seems to have disappeared. Apparently someone in my house is not as big a fan as I am.
If you get a chance download We Three Kings by The Odds. Best version ever.
I love, LOVE Josh Groban's Oh Holy Night.
