It's so quiet around here, y'all! Does everyone have bloggy ennui? Everyone busy?? Blah. Oh, and fair warning, this is going to be a rambly, incoherent sort of post.
I'm doing the single mommy thing 'til Sat. morning when Matt gets back from TN. This will, apparently, include taking Tabby with me to my company's quarterly early morning breakfast meeting since her sitter doesn't start work 'til 7. It was my boss's idea. Hehe.
I saw these things on LJC's site. I think what I like most about them is that I can toss them in the dishwasher to get clean. Easy like paper towels, but reusable. That's pretty great. Now I just have to make a trip to Wild Oats (like Whole Foods, but smaller) to pick some of them up. Along with s'more almond milk and some organic frozen squash. I have many lists.
I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my second honorary nephew, the son of our best friends. He is due to be born sometime t'day by cesarean. Now I am just hoping that 230985 emergency C-sections don't crop up last minute. Tabby and I are going down there after work.
I keep wanting to get a bunch of tote bags to take to the grocery store with me when I do the weekly shopping, but they are all so pricey!! So I am going to get a bunch of cheapies from Hobby Lobby or this site and cute 'em up myself. Or possibly they will stay eau natural. Depending on how much time I have.
Kelly and I are getting together a movie night for Fri. I want to watch Real Genius (don't know why, the urge just crept up on me at work the other day) and Kelly wants to watch Clue, since Michael Buckley just quoted it in one of his recent eps of “What the Buck?!?” Popcorn goes well with my movie, but I don't think monkey brains are easily found in Denver, CO either. Wonder what our Clue food can be?
Everyone keeps making such a deal over this No-Knead Bread that I really might have to try it. Although I really should just haul out my bread maker again. It makes the house smell SOOOO good. Why does everything good have so many carbs in it?? WHY??!
A few more things that have caught my eye:
* make the most of 15 min
* improve your photography in 60 seconds (notice a theme here?!?!)
* Star Wars the TV show (but will Jar-Jar be a series regular?)
* a fab way to waste time in the cube farm
* calculate how much dough you should have stashed away for a rainy day a hurricane
Again I love your rambly posts. I too have been thinking of getting a tote for the market. Now I just have to do it. But what will I use for my bathroom liners?
Congrats to your friends on the new baby? If memory serves me will is this your honary nephew Liam's little brother? I hope I got that right
I've been wanting some Olive Bread. I haven't used my bread machine in so long. I think it may have broke though? I so love bread.
I hope your boss let's Tabby run the meeting
Definitely check out Envirosax (envirosax.com). I have two sets that I use for groceries and we LOVE them! (You really only need one set. It's a long story about how we got two.)
Those sponge/towel things are cool.
