Well despite the fact that I've owned her for more than a year, it took me until last night to have a real inaugural ride on my cruiser. See just after I requested her for my b'day, I found out I was pregnant. I don't know if you folks know this or not, but pregnant ladies aren't real coordinated, so I held off riding her. Then of course, Miss Tabby showed up and well … I don't know if you know this or not either, but new mamas don't have a whole lot of free time for bike riding. So last night, I finally got to take my cruiser on a long ride.
I don't know how long I was gone, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I went by myself. I didn't listen to music. And my mind was nicely blank. Yes, I thought, but it wasn't deep, it wasn't my to-do list, it was very in the moment. Afterwards I was a bit sweaty, but very relaxed. Now I just need to find a name for my bike. All the really important inanimate objects in my life have names. My car (a black CR-V), for example is Black Magic. I think I'm leaning towards “The Lime Sherbet Incident.” But I'm open to suggestions.
Cute bike!
What cute bike you have! Embarrassed to admit, but I've haven't been on my bike in about four years … no where to put my kid!
Hey, I remember your cute bike! I'm leaning with the crowd here, Jess. “Sherbet” is a really fitting name.
Oooh how I miss riding my bike.
That is a sweet ride. I would simply call her “Sherbet”…
I kind of like just “Sherbet” as well. I haven't been on a bike ride in years…seriously, probably like almost 20 years. I need a bike.
We name things too! Only think I could come up with was Green Machine. LOL.
I like “sweet tart” for her…figures, coming from me ;0)
Enjoy the ride.
OMG! I totally *love* this new design! The background just rocks. Reminds me of sherbet (like your bike). I'd definitely go with “Sherbet” or “Sweet Tart.” I *love* both of those! Wow … I can just imagine you riding your new bike, wind blowing against your face. How awesome that you got to do that. I haven't ridden a bike in years!
That is a sweet bike. You should call her the limey.
