Very Official Weekend

Another busy weekend has zoomed by, very full of doings. Friday we had my parents and Kelly over for breakfast for dinner. I have a lot of great breakfast recipes, but I never seem to get around to making them because I never have time on weekdays and it always seems like we're too busy on weekends. So we requested everyone wear their jammies and had breakfast for dinner. It was quite enjoyable. After dinner we watched a few eps of The Office (American version) a show I'd never really seen a lot of … though not because I wasn't interested. Lack of time. One of the funniest shows I've seen in a long time.Saturday we got up earlyish and got ready fairly leisurely. Then we went to see Holly and Liam … we ran a couple of errands and then we met up with Mikey and hit the Downtown Aquarium. Which was enjoyable, but made even more so because Liam was so into it.

After the Aquarium, Matt and I had to run another errand, namely finishing up a little b'day shopping for my cousin who turned 16 this weekend. We'd already gotten him a copy of License to Drive, but we added an evil monkey keychain and some Napoleon Dynamite air fresheners (which smell awful, like really strong bubble gum, incidentally) as well. Then we headed to my uncle's house for his party. Loki delighted in playing with their dog and was exhausted the rest of the weekend.

Sunday started off great with breakfast at The Huckleberry, a really neat restaurant in “downtown” Louisville. We definitely want to go back there for dinner or afternoon tea. After brunch we went to the mall to get Matty some new jeans. I may have bought somethings for myself as well. A few more errands later, we headed for home and had lunch and watched some Tivo and some Broncos football. I may have taken a nap. Before too long, it was time to get Matt to the airport shuttle … which we almost missed due to a malfunctioning ATM/bad pre-planning. But he made it in the nick of time. I went home and met up with Kelly … and we watched more of The Office. I am now sufficiently caught up to watch the premier on Thursday (so says Kelly).
