New Yummies

We've been on a roll lately. We tried new recipes both Sunday and Monday night and all were great.

Sunday:
* Shrimp with Toasted Couscous & Ginger-Orange Sauce
Monday:
* Pan Seared Blackened Tilapia With Yogurt Sauce
* Mesculn Strawberry SaladSo last night we made up all the stuff for dinner … and everything was all ready to go. All we had to do was cook the fish. So Matt has the skillet all heated up with some melted butter in there. And he throws the fish on … the fish has the blackening mixture on it, with cayenne pepper in it. And it instantly fills the kitchen with smoke. Lots of smoke. Not just the normal kind that is annoying, etc, but the cayenne kind that is paticularly noxious. I open our front and back doors and turn on fans. Matt keeps cooking. Loki and I evacuate to the font step. Matt keeps cooking. Loki and I play ball outside. Matt runs out the back door with the hot skillet and leaves it to cool on the flagstone outside.

We finished the fish in the oven and it was worth the effort and very very tasty. Matt remains my hero.
