Sorry I didn't post yesterday, folks. I had one of those days at work and I really really really didn't have the time. Anyhoo, I'm back today.
My weekend was MOST excellent. Friday, we had excellent dinner @ PF Chang's and then we saw Harry Potter! I really enjoyed it and thought that Mike Newell & Steve Kloves did a very good job condensing a 800 page book into a 2.5 hour movie. The one part that I didn't like was after the goblet releases Harry's name, Dumbledore like runs in the room and smashes Harry up against the wall and chokes him and demands to know if he put his name in the goblet. Which is SOOOOOO not Dumbledore. But whatever. I can get past that. So that was way cool, except the part where we stood outside in the snow, queuing up for the movie. 😛 That kinda sucked.Well nothing, but I'll explain that in a minute. Anyhoo, on Sat, Holly friend woke us up at 8 and wanted to go to the museum with us. We saw the IMAX film, Mystic India, which was beautiful, but overly idealistic and with a very lame plot. We finished up the Indian experience with a visit to Little India, which was excellent excellent Indian food. Then we had to stop at Meiningers, since it's on the way home and we hardly ever get down there. So we were deciding what to do and we finally determined that we should go back to my house and do crafties.
Lucky for us, I had a crafty project all lined up. I'd been planning to tiedye some onesies for the soon to be baby to give to H for xmas. So that's what we went home and ended up doing. Not that ours turned out as well as those, but we're getting the idea.
When it was all said-and-done, and Matt was starving, we went to what we thought was the new pizza joint about a block away from our house. Come to find out they serve authentic (as I've ever seen) Italian food in addition to gourmet(ish) pizzas. Pretty much everything we had was amazing (with the exception of the salad) and the people were very warm and friendly.
Sunday was boring, so I won't bore you with that. All in all, a great weekend.
Yes it does indeed sound like a great weekend! Hmmm you think Dumbledore did that because he was scared for Harry?
