I have about a zillion mosquito bites all over me. Seriously. There are 3 on my face … and needless to say all over my arms and legs … even my shoulders. Grrrrr. I know it wasn't this bad last year! Why did we have to have all this rain.
It's particularly bad around our apartment. I dunno who made up the landscaping scheme around here, but it is not good. It doesn't drain properly and then you've got standing water all over the place … which mosquitos love (or so I'm told).
Matt has burnt out his bug zappin' racket and I need to find him a new one so he can continue to wage war on our insect foes. Makes me think of Starship Troopers.
Speaking of which, they made a sequel to it!! Can ya even believe it?? I almost want to see it. I really enjoyed the first one … from a wow isn't this crappy point of view. I even have it on video (Blockbuster previewed … $3.99). Now for something completely unrelated. Since it is not officially summer weather here I've started making iced tea again. We don't have a porch or anything like that, so I can't make sun tea. Celestial Seasonings has some varieties that brew in the fridge, but I get bored of the same old, so I make them in my saucepan on the stove. I can also add a tiny bit of sugar to them too if I like.
Now I'm annoyed cuz I just looked at the Celestial Seasonings website and I see that they have two new teas! Tropic of Strawberry and True Blueberry. I'd love to try those … but alas, this is Wisconsin and they carry a very small selection of CS teas. I'll have to try Whole Foods or beg the family back in CO to send me some of the good stuff.
you know I think alot of those Celestial Seasonings are hard to find. I searched and searched for English Toffee and finally found it at a Natural Food Store.
the factory is in Boulder, CO, near where my family lives … so when I was living at home I could always nip down to the factory and get whatever. plus, lots of Denver area stores cary tons!
